Inscribing Intimacy (2023) was a research-based multimedia work developed during a one-month residency in Barcelona, during which I worked in two separate studios associated with the RARO Barcelona collective. The final installation piece combined ceramics, cyanotype, printmaking, and bookbinding, all of which aimed to explore palm-sized, intimate formats that have to be handled and observed directly, from a small distance. The works are based on personal family archives and handwritten letters created by women using the bosančica script, an element of Balkan intangible heritage as well as small-scale family history.
